Monday Ratings: Trauma Needs Assistance

NBC needs some help, stat! Yesterday’s series premiere of Trauma did nothing for the Peacock network’s health on Mondays. The medical drama pulled in numbers smaller than last fall’s stinker, My Own Worst Enemy. By night’s end, ABC was on top with the viewers while FOX was 1st in the demos.

Jorja FoxDaphne Zuniga

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Jorja Fox is having a hard time staying away from the hit series. Despite “leaving” the show over a year ago, she made several appearances last season. Now Fox is scheduled to appear in five episodes of the upcoming season, including the September 24 premiere. Although we are expected to learn “where life has taken Sara Sidle and what brings her back to the CSI team in Las Vegas,” it’s unclear whether William Petersen will be included in that reveal.

FOX Reveals Fall Schedule

Glee

With the spring season winding down, the fall season is already waiting to heat up this November. FOX has unveiled their upcoming schedule, so you can anticipate all through the long weeks of summer reality shows.

FOX staples like House, So You think You Can Dance and Bones will all retain their usual weekday time slots, with Fringe and Lie To Me both getting the renewal nod. The musical comedy will appear on Wednesday, right after the Dance results show.

Friday will be a night of new programming for some viewers, as FOX has shifted their much-moved ‘Til Death into this space with two newbies. Brothers will premiere at the top of the 8 o’clock hour, with Dollhouse rounding out the latter half of the 8-10 block.

Lost might not be able to compete against Adam, Kris and Danny, but its finale was still noteworthy. Last night’s season ender saw the program’s biggest audience since the beginning of April.

Wednesday Ratings: Country Experiencing Obama Fatigue

Looks like President Obama wasn’t what viewers had in mind for sweeps. Last night’s umpteenth press conference was seen by 29% less people than the March 24th version. Although FOX was able to beat the other networks for its airing of Lie to Me, the strategic move was probably a moot point. American Idol would have given the network a win anyway.

Barack Obama8pm

  • (7.9 million, 2.4/7 in 18-49) did the same as last week.
  • NBC’s coverage of the presser (1.6/5) drew in 6.7 million.
  • ABC’s political hour (1.6/5) attracted 6.1 million.
  • Approximately 6 million watched the president on CBS (1.5/5).
  • (4 million, 1.8/6) remained steady.

FOX: No Room for Barack Obama on Schedule

Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Prime Time, Reality, Specials, FOX, Gossip,

Barack Obama , President of the United States of America, is scheduled to address the nation on Wednesday. But don’t worry, FOX isn’t going to go changing their programming just on his account. If you’d rather watch Tim Roth, you can still catch Lie to Me in its regular time slot.

It’s a bold move, and it might be a bad one. Obama’s Wednesday news conference will celebrate his first one hundred days as President. It’s the third press conference he’s held while in office, and it will be aired by ABC, CBS and NBC, along with several cable networks.
